Below are a few things to think about before booking a photoshoot, with some tips and tricks to help your booking process go as smooth as possible. My steps are pretty general but every photographer has their own process, so double check with your photographer for more information.

Know Exactly What Your Needs Are

What kind of session are you wanting? How many people do you want to include? What time of year are you thinking? If you want senior photos, do you just need cap and gown photos, or are you wanting a session with multiple outfits and locations?

Is My Style What You Want?

While perusing my website or social media, keep in mind what my photos look like. Even if every photo is beautiful, do you like the colors, the lightness, the intensity? Your photos are going to match what’s in my portfolio.

Choosing a Date

When choosing a date, look at your calendar very closely to make sure nothing interferes with that date. When booking for a family, it can be difficult to find a date that works for everyone, so pay close attention. Also keep in mind what time of year you’re booking. If you’re wanting to wear summer dresses and have a bunch of greenery in the background, don’t book in November.
