My name is Sophie Glasgow and I'm a portrait photographer based in Kansas. Now booking photoshoots in Wichita, Kansas City, Manhattan, and Lawerence, Kansas.
Okay maybe you just got professional photos taken and you don’t know what to do with all these photos of yourself now. Maybe you kinda want to book a photoshoot, but you’re not sure what the pay off is. Here’s a list of ideas for how to use your professional photos!
If you get your photos printed, you can put them up all over your home! Make a gallery wall. Put your kid’s senior photos all in a row on your desk at work. Order an obnoxiously large canvas and hang it over your fireplace mantle like a cartoon super villain (so serious though, I would love to get a serious portrait of me and my cats and do this and think of how funny that would be when anyone walks into my living room and that’s the first thing they see).
This is an obvious one and probably the reason a lot of people gets professional photos in the first place. Even if that wasn’t your intention, using your most recent professional photos for your holiday cards is a great idea. I have a huge family and it’s pretty much impossible to get together with all of my aunts and uncles and cousins very often because everyone has a family of their own now. Getting their Christmas cards in the mail every year and seeing how much everyone has grown is so exciting.
Social media is definitely a big one for my clients. Show the world how hot you look in that fire photoshoot we just did. Flex on your exes. #seniorsunday
If you have a LinkedIn profile for searching for jobs or a website for your business, you should definitely be using professional photos. Professional photos make you look more professional.
Sometimes I think I should also be an Online Dating Coach as well as a photographer, because lowkey, I think I could really make those two businesses go hand in hand lol. Using professional photos on your dating profile looks good because A) Your photographer (me) probably made your look great B)You look like a grownup who cares about their appearance and has money for professional photos.
You can do crafts and make art with your photos too! You could make a DIY frame for your photos. You could do an iron on of your face and put it on a t-shirt because that’s hilarious. You could make a collage card of your face for your mom on Mother’s Day. Possibilities are endless.
Photo albums are a great way to preserve your legacy and they make great coffee table books lol. It’s also so much more fun to sit down on the couch and flip through a book with friends and family than flipping through photos on a phone.
Moms love photos of their children and grandchildren. Go buy some cute picture frames and stick your senior photos in there and give them to your parents, your grandparents, your in-laws, your dog, whoever!
